Advent: Day 1

I decided to place the stocking for the day, with the treats, and craft or activity in a drawer in the china cabinet.    I am hoping after a few days, Caleb will go over and open the drawer without me reminding him.

We all gathered together - Caleb got the stocking and took things out... he gave the scripture reading to daddy:

"Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."  Matthew 1:23

Then Caleb noticed that there was another ornament for his felt tree - he was happy.

The activity for the day was to decorate our Christmas tree.  We waited for Grandma to come over and help us.

Daddy had already put the tree up the day before:

Caleb had so much fun decorating.  Rachel wanted to wait and put her own ornaments on after we were done.  It was sweet that she let Caleb enjoy putting the ornaments on first.

When Robert handed Caleb each ornament - Caleb would exclaim: "for me???!!!!" he was so excited!!!  It was adorable.

The tree is all finished, and we had a wonderful December 1st.
