I don't think it turned out as well as the one in the blog tutorial - but it was still fun.
Here is where we found our inspiration:
Salt Painting
Here is our version:
Draw a design with glue
Dump massive amounts of salt onto the glue - this was by far the funnest part.
Your glue design is now covered in salt. We were working on the letter M that day, so Caleb wanted Mickey Mouse.
Once the glue is dry - takes ALL DAY - then use some water colors to paint!
Caleb enjoyed this very much.
We are working on the letter "M".
M is for:
Mom
Mickey Mouse
Monkeys
Moose
We read a book called: "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". At first Caleb didn't really want to sit still for it. Then after we were done reading it, he asked for me to read it again!
I found some Monkey Size Sort cards: HERE. For the first time, Caleb really understood putting them in order from biggest to smallest!!!
Letter M is complete, and we need to get to letter N. My goal is to start doing 2 letters per week. Caleb is getting a tad impatient with me! :)
